- Fulbright Grants awarded for 2019 and 2026 to work in Ljubljana, Slovenia on international stable isotope food reference materials. The reference materials are now being distributed internationally by Indiana University (i.e. my laboratory) and the U.S. Geological Survey.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

(1) Developer and distributor of compound-specific hydrogen and carbon stable isotope reference materials that are being used by more than 350 laboratories worldwide, including the U.S. and Canadian customs agencies, EPA, FBI, U.S. Army, Olympic and forensic drug testing laboratories, major oil companies, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and many environmental laboratories. (2) The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA, in Vienna, Austria) contracted me in 2001/02 to co-develop organic oxygen stable isotope standard materials that are now being distributed worldwide as benzoic acids IAEA-601 and IAEA-602. Subsequently I worked with the IAEA, the U.S. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on dozens of new international reference materials.
